Philadelphia reunion ends in a loss for Allen Iverson

For the 76ers this must surely be more than a win, for the first time since they traded one of Philadelphia’s pillars of success in recent times Allen Iverson they met and looked like at the end of the game the 76ers were the ones to have left with the last laugh and Allen Iverson to rue the opportunity to show not just Philadelphia but also the rest of the world and more importantly himself what kind of an impact he can have over the four quarters in a basketball game.
Though slow to start The Answer was soon in his elements and scored game high 30 points and 7 turn-overs but ended on the losing side after being ejected for a second technical foul. Philadelphia won 107-96 in the first meeting with the Denver Nuggets since Allen Iverson left Philadelphia to join the Nuggets. Allen sure ripped apart the defenses of the team that sold him out to show his class but having won the game the sixers should surely be saying that the team is always bigger than a single player.
As far as the game goes there wasn’t much of drama that was expected. But surely some of the players with whom Allen played with till a few days ago felt not-so-good seeing one of the all time Philadelphia greats wearing the opposite colors. With the win the sixers managed to score a hundred or more points in a game – the first time they did that since Iverson left, also it improved their record to a 4-4 since the trade… surely people in Philadelphia are trying to get over the Answer.
