Even as the police continue their investigation Denver Bronchos have announced that they will go ahead honor their slain player Darrent Williams. There would be a memorial service in the honor of the player who lost his life a couple of days in a drive-by shoot out case. It is reported that the killing could be a fall-out of an argument that Darrent had at the nightclub that he left afterwards. And as fate would have it the limo that Darrent and his pals were sitting in was sprayed with bullets indiscriminately which resulted in his death.
The twenty-year old was into his second season as a Football player and the incident took place just hours after the Broncos’ hopes of reaching the play-offs was dashed by their loss to San Antonio in the final game of their regular season. It is also reported that the player wasn’t under the influence of alcohol when the incidence took place; in fact he was reported to have been thinking of no booze on New Year’s Eve. Too sad that such a thing should happen to anyone, let alone a promising young football player…
