Ronaldo shown the door at Real Madrid

Looks like Real Madrid are in a hurry to dump another of their ‘galcticos’ Ronaldo. The Brazilian has spent more time on the bench this season than on pitch and things have turned so sour between him and the club’s manager Fabio Capello that Ronaldo has already been told that he will not find another spot in the playing eleven and if he wants he could decide where he wants to go next. Ronaldo is the next big name after the exit of David Beckham to have fallen off with Coach Fabio Capello.
Ronaldo has made just three starts since the Italian took over the reigns in Santiago Bernabeu and in all has found the net just five times this season. Ronaldo has been under severe criticism since Brazil’s exit from the World Cup and unlike many of his countrymen hasn’t had much success at his club after the disastrous World Cup. His ever growing weight meant that he was half as agile and mobile as he used to be and the indifferent form in from the goal has only left team mates and Coach frustrated alike.
Though like Beckham Ronaldo has been given the ultimatum to leave but things are a lil more difficult in his case as he has one more year left on his contract and is not on a free transfer like the former England mid-fielder. The three time world player of the year could follow Beckham into Major League Soccer in the states joining the New York Red Bulls. Else Ronaldo could also be back in Italy with Juventus or travel as far as the Middle East to play for Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo joined the Spanish giants from Inter Milan after a successful World Cup 2002 in Korea-Japan emerging from the World Cup as the leading goal scorer. He made a fantastic debut for Real scoring a hat-trick. But since then things have changed much… Real haven’t won much in the past few seasons and for sure having coughed up millions of bucks it must be really hitting them hard in the gut to carry the load of such bulky stars – both their body weight and pay checks are outrageously fat.
