muhammad_ali.jpgThe arguably the greatest boxer the world has ever seen and one of the most endearing sportsmen to have ever graced the sports arena – Muhammad Ali, originally named Cassius Clay Jr. turns sixty five today. The three time World Heavyweight Champion once a brutal boxer and an outgoing individual is now one of sports long lasting enigmas. Born on Jan 17 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. Ali went on to become a controversial figure in American boxing history yet was one loved and revered by his fans.

Ali was different from his peers not just because of his unorthodox style of boxing but also because of his attitude and focus that he had on the sport. Having been a part of the era that is called the golden era of American boxing Ali beat all of his great peer in their prime, something that makes him so much more greater than the others. Muhammad loved the sport more than the titles and that made him put his title on the line more than any other player before him or since him has done.

He changed to Sunni Islam in 1075 and since has been a great ambassador of peace and friendship around the world. The fact that he comes from the fact that he comes from one of the most brutal sports background and yet has been committed to the cause of peace makes a true sportsman as was rightly named as the Sportsman of the Century by Sports Illustrated in 1999. Muhammad Ali the legend and legacy continues… HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUHHAMMAD ALI…
