Which ever way the teams go at the Super Bowl this February in Miami one thing is for sure that the game has already created history and plenty is expected to be made at the XLI Super Bowl showdown in Miami come Feb 4th. Leading the two teams for the first time in the history of Super Bowl’s would be two colored coaches of Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts and they would match their wits to be come the first colored coach to lift the Super Bowl trophy.
Chicago defeated New Orleans 39-14 to win the NFC title which made their coach Lovie Smith to become the first Black Coach to lead his team into the Super Bowl. And it looked like that the forty-first Super Bowl is set for more history when the colts won the AFC crown and made sure that Smith’s good friend Tony Dungy would present enough of a challenge to Smith before the first African-American coach lifts the Super Bowl trophy.
Both coaches expressed their satisfaction having come thus far but were cautious enough knowing pretty well that the final step is the hardest and the one that matters most. Smith is leading the Bears back into the Super Bowl after a gap of twenty one years sure enough it a long time. Smith having qualified first hoped that Dungy could also make it but now that he has he would do everything possible and make sure that the later does not walk away with the Vince Lombardi trophy. Amidst all the racial slur on British TV looks like Americans are better off than the Brits.
