NBA side Miami Heat who were once reeling under pressure of missing their top player and head coach seems to have now turned the heat on the opposition. The return of Dwayne Wade and his rich vein of form has meant that Miami has now won four games on the trot and are more and more looking like the reigning NBA champions.

Wade scored 32 points and Jason Williams played his part with another twenty as the Heats made light work of the Jazz from Utah. They beat Utah 119-110.Wade was inspirational in his performance as he garnered 10 assists and a season high 6 steals. His performance has become even more significant as Shaq is still on the sidelines and in his absence Wade is the key for the Miami lads.

Elsewhere, Dirk Nowitzki inspired Dallas to a 97-96 win in thrilling content against the Raptors. Dallas were all but out when the German superstar helped close in on a 15 point deficit and win with one sec left. Though Toronto had the chance to take the game with the last shot but it wasn’t to be as Anthony Parkers shot – more desperate than otherwise fell short.

O’Neal had hurt his knee on the 2nd of November last year and took another severe blow on the same knee ten days later to end up on the surgeons table. Lakers fortunes seemed to be in the opposite direction of Kobe who overcame the first 16 minutes of draught to score 42 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. This was Kobe’s sixth forty plus score of the season as he looks in ominous form heading towards the all-star night.

In what was expected to be a Kobe show for his magical play in the dying moments of the fourth quarter, Kobe showed that he had more than exceptional basketball skills to pull off a tie in regular time and push the dame into OT. With 4 seconds left everyone expected to take the last throw, even his rivals were confident of that but Kobe showed exceptional presence of mind and trust in his mate Smush Parker to feed him the final ball who scored and tied the game. What happened in OT remains a history and remains left is the magic of Kobe Bryant.

In the meantime, Heats assistant coach Ron Rothstein would take over the reins of the clubs. Though this is an interim arrangement the Miami fans would be expecting some kind of a miracle from Ron to turnaround the fortunes of the team who’ve opened with season with a 13-17 win loss record.

Many said it would just not work… some thought it was rather difficult and others preferred to just be quiet. But finally the man himself… Carmelo has out and said though there could be concerns of him and Iverson teaming up, he was personally quite determined to stick it out and play for the team. Now that’s being an absolute professional and a team player… Kudos to you Carmelo…

The screeching sneakers across the ply of the basketball courts in America is a resounding testimony of the man who’s held his own in the galaxy of NBA star. So even as the Denver lads still figure out how this would effect the Allen-‘Melo combination, one things for sure the Nuggets would find a few more bottoms on the seats in the arena and a lot more passion on the court which is almost infections along with Iverson.
